Branden was born in Florida and raised in Maryland. He has an IT background so he mainly works on the technology side of things and built the website. Abigail was born in Illinois and raised in Texas. She mainly designs our pieces. We met in 2022, (Thanks Tinder) and got married in 2026. We both have been diagnosed with ADHD and Autism. In our childhoods, we fought ourselves to stop picking at our skin, twirling pencils, bouncing our legs and chewing on erasers. Fidgeting and stimming are part of how we exist in the world. Nonimi came from the thought that we never have to stop moving. Non-Instrumental Movement Inhibition (NIMI) is where a person stops fidgeting to focus on what they are doing. Neurodivergent people struggle with stillness, and Nonimi is the understanding that you don’t have to sit still to pay attention. Nonimi is an extension of us.
